How to Join Heysham Golf Club

Here at Heysham Golf Club we are known as ‘’the friendly club’’ for a very good reason. On arrival, you are assured of a warm welcome by staff and members alike. We will not only provide you with information of the great competitive golf on offer, but will also introduce you to members of any age or ability; depending on which time or day you would like to play.

If you would like to acquire a handicap there are many opportunities to play with others who are always up and around, and if not, we are always on hand to help you with any query you have regarding golf; whether you are a newbie or experienced player, just ask us.

Heysham Golf Club has a very active membership of more than 500. Our men’s, ladies’ and junior sections offer a full competition fixtures’ schedule aimed at players of all standards. We also offer a varied social calendar and have well supported bridge and snooker sections.

We have various sections with a keen Ladies Section that enters teams in various leagues and has a full list of competitions throughout the year. Our Seniors play in the Red Rose League with friendly matches against other local Clubs. Our Rabbits section also has a busy schedule with friendly matches, club events and away trips.

Jack Senior at the Walker Cup

We are especially proud of our Junior and Academy Section which now has over 100 members. Free coaching is provided by our professional Ryan Done and his team on one Saturday morning a month and the club has achieved GolfMark and Clubmark status.

We are extremely proud that Jack Senior, who started his golf as a Heysham Junior, represented G B & Ireland in the 2011 Walker Cup team when GB & I regained the trophy.

As an added bonus for members we have reciprocal deals with other local Clubs, some of the Clubs with whom we shared our Centenary in 2010 and some of the Clubs in the Isle of Man (our course is less than half a mile from the Port of Heysham).

Membership information is detailed below. Please contact Paul or Ray in our Manager’s Office on 01524 851011 who will be able to assist with any enquiries.

Our current year ends on 31st October 2019.

We have a special temporary offer for contracting staff working in the area. Please contact the office for details.

If you are new to the area or new to golf and don’t know anybody at the Club don’t let that put you off. Contact Paul who will help you get to know the club and our members.
